What data we collect

We collect the following personal data:

• Your name and email address when you create an account
• Property addresses and compliance certificate data you enter
• Billing information processed securely by Stripe (we do not store card numbers)
• Basic usage analytics to improve the product

Why we collect it

We use your data to:

• Provide the CertAlert service and send compliance reminders
• Process subscription payments
• Send transactional emails about your account
• Improve the product based on how it is used

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of contractual necessity (to deliver the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (to maintain and improve the product).

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by UK law.

We share data with:

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU servers)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — hosting infrastructure

We do not sell your data to any third party.
